Why Knowing the Herbs Isn’t Enough

Most herbalists don’t struggle because they lack information.
They struggle because they were never taught how to think clinically.
If you’ve spent years learning herbs — memorizing actions, affinities, energetics, contraindications — and still don’t feel confident working with real people, this isn’t a personal failure.
It’s a training gap.
Most herbal education emphasizes what plants do, but not how clinical decisions are actually made. Without a thinking framework, knowing more herbs doesn’t create confidence. It usually creates more hesitation.
This first class is about naming that gap clearly.
If this video named something you’ve been quietly carrying for a long time, you’re not alone — and you’re not behind.
In the next video, we’ll look at what herbal actions actually are, why they’re useful, and why they still don’t teach clinical thinking on their own.
The next video will be sent by email.
Where do you feel the gap most right now — knowledge, confidence, or application?
